A total of 59 places made the list and were ranked on a scale of 0 to 100. Here are the top 10:
1.) The Getty Center
The multi-billion dollar hilltop museum is home to some of the world’s most valuable works of art, but it also offers world-class views and plenty of places to sit and enjoy a takeout meal with friends or loved ones.
2.) Griffith Park
An obvious answer. The sprawling park in the Los Feliz area offers breathtaking views of the LA skyline, scenic hikes, and history around every corner.
3.) LA County Arboretum and Botanical Garden
Over 125 acres of lush vegetation are found in LA’s premier botanical garden which is open daily with a $15 adult admission fee.
4.) Descanso Gardens
Another botanical garden makes the list, this one located in La Cañada Flintridge. The 150-acre nature retreat describes itself as a “museum of living collections.”
5.) Lake Hollywood Park
Vintage Hollywood. There’s no more LA than the Hollywood sign, is there? According to the ranking, the park has shaded picnic tables and a small playground in addition to unparalleled views of the iconic American landmark.
6.) La Brea Tar Pits Museum Lawn
History runs through the veins of the city of Los Angeles, and that includes ancient history. The park is close to the famous tar pits, but far enough away to avoid the stench, says MyDatingAdvisor. It is also within walking distance of some world famous museums.

10.) Topanga State Park
This one feels like cheating. Santa Monica Mountains State Park has 35 miles of trails, and picnics can be arranged at the bottom of canyons or along coastal cliffs. You should be prepared before taking a trip out on this picnic excursion.
