RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA, USA, May 16, 2022 / — The JC Raulston Arboretum and NC State University’s Juniper Level Botanical Garden are combining resources to host the 4th Annual Southern Plant Symposium. is and the rare plant auction on June 10 and 11. The program is live and in person in bustling downtown Raleigh and available online.

“The South East Plant Symposium is designed for serious gardeners, people who love plants, plant nurseries, nurserymen, horticulturists, botanists, plant nerds and plant junkies,” Weathington said. . “It’s a high profile event, featuring many of the world’s top experts in botany and horticulture. “We hope you will join us for two days of intense discussions and the chance to visit both the JC Raulston Arboretum and the Juniper Level Botanical Garden,” said Tony Avent, founder and owner of the Juniper Level Botanical Garden ( JLBG). “You will have the opportunity to chat with the speakers and participate in the now famous auction of rare plants. Many plants up for auction will not be found anywhere else in the world. We want to get plants out wherever we can, conserving them for science and for the benefit of all.

The Southeast Plant Symposium is presented by Proven Winners ColorChoice Flowering Shrubs.

Fundraising efforts operate under the auspices of the North Carolina State University Endowment Fund, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Proceeds from the Southeast Plant Symposium and of the Rare Plants Auction benefits the Juniper Level Botanical Garden Endowments (tax ID 56-6000756) and the JC Raulston Arboretum (tax ID 56-6049304). Donors receive official receipts for their contributions to the fund.
