RINGWOOD, NJ – A plane made an emergency landing Thursday afternoon at Skylands Botanical Garden in Ringwood State Park. The pilot and the co-pilot – the only occupants of the aircraft – were not injured.
The single-engine Cessna 182 landed shortly after 3:15 p.m. Thursday. The pilot reported engine problems to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The landing caused minimal damage – one affected tree and tire tracks in the grass – according to a spokesperson for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
