The Los Angeles County Library can help with its Tool Lending Library Program.
The Tool Lending Library, which opened on May 3, provides the community with the ability to borrow tools and crafts at no cost.
Inventory includes hammers, wrenches, electrical cords, kitchen utensils, sewing machines, gardening tools, power tools, and more, but available tools vary by participating library.
To borrow a tool through the Tool Loaner Program, you must be at least 18 years old and have an LA County Library System card.
Up to six tools can be borrowed at a time, but only two of them can be power tools. Tools cannot be sent to another library for pickup, and they must be returned in person to the library where the loan was requested.
The duration of the loan is 7 days, without the possibility of renewal. Tools should not be placed in book return boxes.
