LG has released an awesome new indoor gardening device, the tiiun, which allows gardeners to grow vegetables and flowers indoors in their homes, all year round.
There are many benefits to living in the city, but being able to indulge your craziest urban garden ideas is rarely one of them. If you fancy growing your own but don’t have the luxury of an outdoor space or community garden nearby, the LG tiiun was designed as the perfect solution.
The LG tiiun will be unveiled this year at CES 2022, one of the most influential technology conventions in the world. The tiiun, which means “to grow” in Korean, was designed as a self-contained mini garden for your home.
At first glance, we wouldn’t blame you for thinking this was a sleek mini-fridge full of salad leaves.
However, it’s not just its appearance that sets this one apart from other hydropod growing systems. The system promises to make your own growth faster and easier.
“LG tiiun is a convenient and convenient solution for busy consumers who want to enjoy a greener and healthier lifestyle at home,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “A stylish addition to the home or apartment, our smart gardening system makes growing herbs, leafy greens and flowers fun and simple, even for those of us who have no experience in gardening. gardening. “
The LG tiiun consists of two shelves that can hold six all-in-one seed packs as well as three different types of seed kits. Each of the seed packets contains ten holes for germination.
The system looks a bit like something The Martian because it allows users to grow a variety of crops in just four to eight weeks! The ideal conditions for this rapid growth are created by the largely automated plant growing process that works with LG’s ThinQ app.
A flexible weather control system creates the optimum temperature and conditions for organic growth. It automatically regulates the temperature and light in the Tiiun to mimic the natural cycle of the day.
The smart gardening system supplies water to plants eight times every 24 hours. The humidity is then diffused with the automatic sprinkler and reflux system.
If that doesn’t sound high-tech enough for your indoor garden ideas, the internal structure is also designed to increase photosynthetic efficiency. It amplifies the effects of internal LED light source to accelerate growth.
All of these technologies combine to transform seeds into vibrant, healthy plants. The tiiun guarantees even the most novice of gardeners a healthy harvest of your favorite vegetables or an indoor flower garden.
Like many items LG created, the tiiun design is surprisingly stylish for a growing system. It wouldn’t seem out of place as a smart addition to a modern kitchen. It is available in two stylish biophilic colors – Nature Beige and Nature Green – and can therefore be matched to the color scheme.
The LG tiiun and the LG tiiun mini are currently not available for purchase. They’ll be on display virtually at CES 2022 on January 5th, however, you can learn more about them on LG Home.
We wonder how long does it take before tiiun becomes a key part of our kitchen ideas alongside a refrigerator?
