An apartment in Edinburgh has recently come on the market, its price currently making it the cheapest in the capital.
Advertised for offers in excess of £95,000, the two-bedroom ground floor property is a bit of a steal, considering a town center garage can set you back up to £60,000.
The lower villa in a row of houses in Crewe to the north of Edinburgh, the apartment has a very reasonable space, with not one but two bedrooms.

As well as a good sized living room, the property even has a private garden at the rear of the building accessed through a door in the kitchen.
However, while it’s a bargain to have the flat for under £100,000, the cheapest flat in town needs a bit of work to bring it up to modern standards.

While far from unlivable, the dated interior and tired decor would likely need updating by new owners before moving in.
But barring serious structural problems, Edinburgh’s small deal should be done fairly quickly.
Describing the property, McDougall and McQueen said: “An excellent first time purchase or investment purchase, this well proportioned two bedroom ground floor property, whilst now in need of modernization, offers comfortable and well planned accommodation with huge potential to become a beautiful home for an individual, couple, small family or rental investment.
“The apartment gives the new buyer the opportunity to improve and design the interior to their own specifications. Given the rarity of these properties, we recommend an early viewing.”
