WEATHERFORD – Clark Gardens Botanical Park is delighted to host a month-long celebration of wellness, art, horticulture and agriculture at its Grow at Clark Gardens event in March.

Each week in March, Clark Gardens will emphasize nature-focused activities while encouraging healthy lifestyles through a variety of classes and demonstrations.

“We are delighted to be hosting an event designed to enrich the lives of our local residents and tourists through a variety of fun and hands-on activities throughout the month,” said Clark Gardens Assistant Manager Ansley McEntire. . “We hope Grow at Clark Gardens will become deeply rooted in our community.”

Wellness Week will be held March 1-11 and will feature everything from yoga and relaxing creativity practices to healthy cooking.

Art Week will be held March 12-18 and will provide attendees with a hands-on artistic experience through a variety of crafts including photography, painting, sewing and more. The art exhibition, Dream in Bloom, will also be on view from March 1 to June 5.

Horticulture Week, March 19-25, will sharpen attendees’ gardening skills with classes that provide planting tips for pollinators, native plants, garden trimming, soil enrichment and much more to grow your garden.

Backyard Farming Week, March 26-31, will feature local agricultural experts who will reveal secrets about vegetable gardens, aquaponics, rainwater harvesting, composting and other practices.

“We are thrilled to partner with experts from our community who will share insights into improving your life through wellness, horticulture, agriculture and the arts,” said the director. of Clark Gardens, Carol Clark Montgomery. “We truly believe that you will grow at Clark Gardens integrating the practices.”

Become a member of Clark Gardens Botanical Park and enjoy free admission to the gardens year-round as well as free admission daily to the Grow at Clark Gardens festival. Some fees may apply to specific activities.

Clark Gardens received a grant from the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau to make the event possible.

The gardens are located at 567 Maddux Road in Weatherford. General admission for children 4-12 is $5, seniors 65 and older enter for $7, and adult admission is $9. Some activities may incur additional charges.
